An EU Trademark covers trademark protection throughout all EU member states with just one application, although the UK is no longer in the EU, UK companies desiring to sell products in EU markets quite often find the EUTM useful for broader regional protection.

The bottom line is that, even though UK trademarks per se do not receive protection outside the United Kingdom, protection in countries outside the United Kingdom can still be pursued through the Madrid System, direct filings, or EU trademarks.
